Maria believes firmly in the power of positive energy. She practices it every day as the head of a purchasing team at the nVent Enclosures plant in Reynosa, Mexico

“When I arrive at the plant, I say good morning to all my team. It’s very important to see their faces and start the day motivated,” Maria says. “And when the shift ends, I go again to see them and say thank you for the day.”

The purchasing department serves all employees in the plant, so Maria stresses kindness to her team. “We are giving young people the opportunity to grow, in a culture that values individuals and embraces teamwork. That requires kindness and collaboration.”

Maria also emphasizes the value of hard work.

“When people on my team ask me how they can develop their careers, I tell them the first step is working hard for what they want.”
