At nVent we are committed to maintaining a healthy and safe work environment for our employees and preventing workplace injuries. Around the world, our safety leaders work with employees to reduce risks and injuries.
Our efforts in safety recently earned nVent the 2021 Best in Class Safety Excellence Award from Dow Chemical Company for the fourth consecutive year.
Dow Chemical Company, a global leader in materials science, evaluates hundreds of their Houston, U.S., area contractors—including the nVent Project Services team—and thousands of work hours to determine which companies to recognize. Recipients must excel in a number of safety measures while working onsite at Dow locations. Award criteria include safety performance, following incident self-reporting processes and advancing safety culture.
“We are honored to win this coveted award,” said Thermal Management EHS Global Manager Keith K. “Safety is at the forefront of everything nVent does, and we strive to ensure each employee acts as a true steward of our safety programs. It is imperative that we continuously evaluate safety challenges and find innovative solutions. I am proud of the nVent Project Services Team for continuously implementing and following our safety processes and grateful for this recognition from the Dow Chemical Company.”
We use a behavior-based safety model at nVent focused on three pillars: management commitment, controlled hazards and employee engagement. The project services team has gone more than 22 million hours of work time without a lost-time injury.
