Ilse, a dedicated talent acquisition manager based in Leuven, Belgium who has been a part of our team for more than five years. She joined nVent with an explicit goal to grow professionally – and that has been evident in her career journey so far.

She started as a recruitment specialist focused exclusively on the European market. During her time in role, she developed a keen curiosity about learning and development. With the help of a supportive manager, she took action. After just eight months of demonstrating her skills and passions, she transferred into a talent management specialist role. “This led to an opportunity to gain experience where I connected with colleagues globally, learned about course creation, facilitation techniques, and creative thinking.”

Ilse enjoyed experiencing a different side of the business, but missed the direct interaction with candidates and the business. Once a manager-level position for Europe became available, she applied and was promoted. She was thrilled to rejoin the talent acquisition team. Her growth didn’t stop there. “A year later, I was given the opportunity to expand my responsibilities to include the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.”

A typical day for Ilse is a blend of dynamic interactions and thinking strategically. “My day-to-day work is dynamic, but typically involves regular communication with my team, HR colleagues, and hiring managers,” Ilse explained. “I’m currently focused on several projects related to enhancing our talent acquisition strategy, strengthening our candidate relationships, and helping to establish nVent as an employer of choice.” Her role is not just about filling positions; it’s about building the future workforce that will drive nVent’s mission forward.
